Job description / Responsibilities:

  • Develop HR policies and guidelines, and ensure that they are complied by all supervisors and employees.
  • In collaboration with all Heads of Departments, plan and budget of Annual HRM activities and ensure timely implementation.
  • Ensure availability of effective devices/tools to Managers for selection and placement of suitable persons in the job positions to increase job efficiency.
  • Ensure timely conduction of all employees’ periodic/annual performance appraisal through a tested tool. Arrange for compilation and analysis of all evaluations and communicate results to employees through supervisors.
  • Arrange for conduction of annual SMC people’s survey to understand the development needs.
  • Plan, present and direct implementation of company’s annual training and development plans.
  • Develop and implement structured benefits and compensation systems in line of company’s policies and industry practices and ensure compliance within the company.
  • Work actively with regard to talent identification, staff development and succession planning.
  • Represent the company in all matter of mutual interest with labour unions, Employers’ Association and Govt. Agencies responsible for administering matters related to union handling.
  • Set and implement the HR goals, be a trusted and strategic partner to Support SMC values, growth and changing business needs.

Educational Requirements: Master Degree in any discipline preferable MBA in Human Resource Management

Experience Requirements: At least 15 (fifteen) years of experience in Human Resource Management in a national or multi-national company out of which 5 years must be at managerial level

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Hard working and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Bangla
  • Excellent computer skill especially in MS Application suite
